Here on the Florida Beer Podcast, we are going to be getting a bit political. Elections are coming up, and you, as a voter, have the chance to send to Tallahassee Representatives and Senators that speak about your ideas and support the craft beer industry in Florida.
For our first interview, we are speaking to current Florida State Representative Heather Fitzenhagen, currently running for Florida Senate in her home city of Ft. Myers. We’ll chat with her about the effect of current laws on breweries and craft beer bars, her views on how the Florida legislature can support craft beer, and her recent conversation with Secretary Halsey Beshears.
From there, we head to Fat Tap Beer Bar and Eatery in Oakland Park, a bar and restaurant with one of the most amazing tap lists I have ever seen. We’ll chat with owner Robert Robayna to learn more about the history of Fat Tap, the troubles of getting good kegs after the major shutdowns, and those amazing field trips they’ve been taking recently.
